Three full-length feature films from Asia and Latin America comprise the next contemporary film cycle, "Under the Influence of Lucrecia Martel", which explores the creative universe of the Argentinian director through emerging talents who one way or another have been inspired by her work.
In October, La Casa Encendida invites audiences to explore the cinematographic universe of Lucrecia Martel (Salta, 1966) with a selection of films that address recurring themes in the Argentinian director's work (family tragedies, female protagonism, oneiric subjectivism and suffocating domesticity) as well as reproducing her editing techniques and use of sound. Every weekend audiences will discover an emerging director whose first film is a family drama set in a claustrophobic magical space where the absence of male figures has legitimised a chaotic matriarchy.
