Diversity Youth Choir (DYC) is a prestigious choral ensemble made up of teens between the ages of 12 and 18 from different schools in the Centro district of Madrid.
Conducted by José María Álvarez Muñoz, this choir has a strong social vocation. Among other things, it aims to build a sense of citizenship based on commitment and the integration of different cultures, and promotes quality music education as a productive pastime and potential career opportunity for young people. More than 200 teens have participated in the choir since its founding in September 2015.
The choir frequently gives concerts in churches, marketplaces, streets and squares across Madrid.
