Two different approaches to pop. Baroque and dreamy in the case of Galician artist Elba, with a hypnotic style marked by her opera training. Dark and noisy, verging on post-punk and electronic, in the case of Valencian artist Xenia. Both take to the stage at the sixth edition of Puwerty.
Elba
One of the most exceptional voices on the Galician music scene, the singer weaves her universe out of the baroque, electronic pop and avant-garde. A breath of fresh air charged with synthesisers, dreamy voices and filmic atmospheres in the purest Wendy Carlos style.
Graduating top of her class from the Santiago de Compostela conservatoire, where she studied opera singing and the violin, the singer and producer presented her solo project in 2019 marked by figures like Kate Bush, Enya, Mecano, Cocteau Twins and Joy Division.
Following performances at festivals such as Noroeste, 17º Ribeira Sacra, Sinsal and Melonafest, the artist released her first album La Magia Natural (2022), an exquisite combination of soundscapes and a radio format in which a highly personal atmosphere unites different styles and languages.
Xenia
This 21-year-old artist explores sounds and lyrics that blend textures from the 1980s with synth pop and new wave elements.
In the duo format, accompanied by the drums and samples of Jaime Llorens, she delivers a powerful, synth-charged performance.
