In the transition between Palestine and Berlin, Falyakon’s multidimensional compositions defy genres and express what being free truly means. The artist presents a limbic set interconnecting her own music, field recordings and traditional Arab music.
A multi-instrumentalist sound artist, Falyakon is also co-curator and resident DJ at Al Musalsal, a monthly series of live performances and experimental DJ sets. She mixes sounds from different genres to create unique, erratic sets.
Falyakon is a sound artist and multi-instrumentalist musician born in Ramallah and now based in Berlin. She defies compositional rules by distorting rhythms and morphing tones in a journey filled with distant memories, interruptions and projections of what is to come.
