Considered one of the visionary artists of experimental electronic music in Africa, Afrorack offers a practical workshop on the concepts and practices related to the construction of DIY electronic instruments, such as his homemade synths.
The aim of the workshop is for participants to learn about the technical requirements involved in the construction of homemade electronic instruments and then move on to the more creative part and sound design.
Motherboards, microcontrollers for music apps, Arduino and ESP32 are some of the materials that will be used. Participants will also learn how to read the value of components and diagrams, and how to solder different parts on circuits.
*The workshop will be run in English.
From Tuesday 9 to Friday 12 April. from 5pm to 8pm.
*The session on Friday 12th starts at 4pm and ends at 7pm.
Recommended age: From 16 years old.
