We’re bringing back the popular "Vermouth, Press and Blablabla", an aperitif-session where two top communicators offer their own caustic version of the daily headlines. This year’s featured guests are the writers María Von Touceda and Brigitte Vasallo.
María Von Touceda (Santiago de Compostela, 1979) lives in Liérganes, a small village in Cantabria where she’s found the perfect balance between the time she spends writing and the thousands of hours she dedicates to her other favourite activity: contemplation. She currently contributes to Cáñamo magazine and Elemmental and writes texts for artists on a freelance basis. She has authored two novels, Crítica del vicio and Coito ergo sum. Her Facebook posts commenting on current events have developed a cult following.
Brigitte Vasallo (Barcelona, 1973) is a Spanish writer, teacher and anti-racist, feminist and LGBTI activist. She is particularly known for her criticism of gender Islamophobia, her denouncement of "purplewashing” and homonationalism, and her defence of polyamorous relationships. She is the author of the books Pornoburka and Pensamiento monógamo, terror poliamoroso and a contributor to eldiario.es, Catalunya Ràdio, Diagonal, La Directa, Pikara Magazine and Critic.cat.
