Power + puberty. The formula to amplify the voice of young creators and artists returns to La Casa Encendida for the sixth year running. We begin the new season by shining a spotlight on artists under the age of 26 to celebrate their contemporary, musical, audiovisual and performative talents.

This year the encounter with young culture takes place over two days, Friday 9 and Saturday 10 September, bringing together the most interesting styles and voices on the scene today.

A live podcast of La Pija y la Quinqui, presented by Mariang and Carlos Peguer and with 50,000 subscribers on Spotify, sets the ball rolling on Friday the 9th. Next come two concerts: Galician artist Elba with her hypnotic pop, and then the dark pop of Valencian artist Xenia.

On Saturday 10 September the afternoon programme features a range of workshops for audiences interested in astrology, tattoos and artisan self-defence. Charcastrology offers a master class with a hint of sarcasm on reading natal charts. juandiego runs a workshop on the ancient art of hand-poke tattooing, using fruit to practise. And Sisí Yu/Tofuxin shows participants how to make gorgeous resin daggers.

This sixth edition of Puwerty ends with the sounds of the new wave of Spanish urban music, with concerts by Madrid artist Diego 900 and Martín Mañas from Valencia.

Two winners were chosen for Inbox 2022: A disfrutar disfrutonas [Enjoy Enjoyees] in which the collective EdredonLab reflects on self-care with an evening pyjama party, and The Rise and Fall of Content y Contenido, a hybrid piece straddling the spoken word and the ability to concentrate in a Tik Tok feed and a memorable Interrail experience.
