Jenna Bass (UK, 1986) is a director, screenwriter, photographer, teacher and magician. Although born in London, she has lived in Cape Town, South Africa, since childhood. A graduate of the AFDA Film School, she has a solid track record as a producer of short films and music videos. In 2014 she directed her first feature-length film, Love the One You Love. In 2017 she presented her second film, High Fantasy, at the Toronto and Berlin festivals, among others. All her feature films have been shot in South Africa and express her rejection of the racial, gender and class discrimination that still exists in contemporary South African society.
