Against the backdrop of a romantically desolate Detroit and Tangier, Adam, an underground musician deeply depressed by the direction acts of humanity have taken is reunited with his harsh, enigmatic lover, Eve, who has no qualms in admitting she’s a vampire. Their love story has survived hundreds of years, but their libertine idyll is interrupted by the arrival of Ava, Eva’s wild and uncontrollable younger sister.
Jim Jarmusch (Ohio, 1953) is an American film director, screenwriter, actor, producer, editor and composer. A leading figure on the independent cinema scene, since 1980 he has directed films like Stranger than Paradise (1984), Down by Law (1986), Mystery Train (1989), Dead Man (1995), Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999), Coffee and Cigarettes (2003), and Broken Flowers (2005). As a musician, he has composed music for his films and released two albums with Jozef van Wissem.
