A stop motion short about a taxidermist’s connection with the life force of nature. Thanks to her talent for taxidermy, a young woman is able to “return” the animals to their natural habitat. However, the true search for answers begins when she starts finding a roll of undeveloped film in each of the animals she treats. Her obsession drives her to seek an explanation, haunting her dreams as well as her waking moments.
Ivana Bošnjak (1983) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and studied animation at the university in Volda, Norway. Since 2010 she has worked on a number of stop motion projects as a model maker, animator and film director. Her latest film Remember How I Used to Ride a White Horse (2022) and Imbued Life (2019) have received awards at animation festivals all over the world.
Thomas Johnson (1984) studied time-based media at the University of Wales, Cardiff and new media at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. As well as making animated films, Thomas creates stop motion performance art works which have featured at numerous festivals.

In this inusual ghost story, Qu Youjia composes an emotional elegy about loss, farewell and memory. With an all-pervasive magic realism and a unique approach to fantasy, he tells the story of a man who comes back home a few days after his death to meet again with his family and inexplicably resume his daily routine.
Qu Youjia, born in Nantong, Jiangsu Province in 1990, is a photographer, film director and the founder of Notation Film Production. He studied at Beijing Film Academy and graduated from Rhode Island School of Design. His first film, Meijing, won several awards, including the Best Fiction Film Award at the Chongqing Youth Film Festival, the Night Award at Signes de Nuit, and Best Film at the Stars Hollywood Festival. His second film Together Apart, won the Best Short Film Award at the FIRST International Film Festival.
