“NASSIM” by Nassim Soleimanpour & Bush Theatre
Duration: | 1 hour |
NASSIM explores the freedom and limitations of language, how words can divide and unite us.
Iranian playwright and director Nassim Soleimanpour is internationally known for White Rabbit, Red Rabbit, an undirected, unrehearsed theatrical piece with very strict performance rules: it is a work for one performer—a new person every time—who cannot know anything about the script or the piece until moments before going on stage, and who is sworn to silence once the performance ends.
Continuing in the same vein, his latest creation, NASSIM, is performed by a different actor each night, who must join the playwright on stage and follow his instructions.
Nassim was originally commissioned and produced by the Bush Theatre in London, where it opened on 25 July 2017.
