“Ursonate Karaoke” by cabosanroque

IN-SONORA. 10th International Interactive and Sound Art Show
22 Mar - 25 Mar 2018
A sound and light performance layered over the original 1932 recording of Kurt Schwitters sound poem Ursonate, delivered in the form of a sonata.
Just as Ursonate grew out of Schwitters’s compulsive repetition of the typographic motif in Raoul Hausmann’s visual poem fmsbw (1921), so Ursonate Karaoke is based on the investigative efforts of cabosanroque to obtain sound from different light sources.
