Journalists Caddy Adzuba and Gemma Parellada come together for a discussion that will shed light on the everyday reality of women in the Congo. We’ll learn about the role of the media in consolidating stereotypes, the dangers of breaking news reporting, and the urgent need to explain causes and effects from a gender perspective.

- Caddy Adzuba, lawyer, journalist, radio host and activist for women’s and children’s rights and freedom of the press in the Congo. Winner of the 2014 Prince of Asturias Award.
- Gemma Parellada, reporter in Sub-Saharan Africa. Correspondent for El País, Catalunya Radio, CNN (in Spanish) and RFI (in Spanish), and regular contributor to CNN International. Winner of the 2016 Miguel Gil Journalism Award.
