Duration: | 1 hour |
French composer Jonathan Fitoussi explores the mixture of modular synthesis and acoustic textures by using minimalistic formulas and giving them a cinematographic look.
The Paris-based synth-man is also a sound restorer at the Institut National de l’Audiovisuel – INA GRM and co-founder of the Transversales Disques label, a leading name in restoring and re-releasing hitherto unpublished avant-garde music by authors like Pierre Henry, François de Roubaix and others. Fitoussi is an old-school sound artist whose compositions look to the future.
He has also composed music for the cinema in films such as Breath of Life (David Roux, 2018) and Heaven Will Wait (Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar, 2016), for fashion labels like Chanel, Hermès and Benetton, and for the 57th Venice Biennale with artist Xavier Veilhan.
