In Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, chaos and poverty drive a vivid, unrelenting, dangerous art scene where freedom of speech is persecuted.
Last year the IDEM festival presented Milo Rau’s The Congo Tribunal, and this year’s line-up features the Afrofuturist group Fulu Miziki and System K, three projects linked to the geopolitical and artistic situation of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
