We’re looking for a book. La Casa Encendida and the publisher Fulgencio Pimentel present the seventh edition of the Puchi Award

The Puchi Award seeks to reward the most liberated, brilliant and innovative book projects in the graphic field, including comics and illustrated albums. The aim of the award is to give visibility to works of great quality and originality.
The Puchi Award is the publishing endeavour of La Casa Encendida and Fulgencio Pimentel. This latest call for applications adopts a new approach and a biennial format, as well as an increased cash prize. The longer interval between calls allows for more attention to detail in the development of the selected projects, with a particular focus on the graphic field of comics and illustrated albums.
Since 2017, the Puchi Award has recognised and given visibility to ground-breaking projects by authors like John Pham, María Bastarós, Berio Molina, Javier Lozano, Daniela Delgado Viteri and others.
The Puchi Award call for applications is open from 17 September until 2 pm on 27 November 2024. The winning author will not only receive the cash prize but will have the opportunity to see their work published, therefore contributing to the creation and dissemination of new trends in graphic storytelling and visual narrative.
