Duration: | 1 hour |
An aesthetic dialogue between western cutting-edge electronics and a personal reinterpretation of Maghrebi popular music and dance.
The artist Ikram Bouloum explores a radical sound that destroys the establishments created by the type of dichotomy that is associated with cultural shock, using her cultural legacy to carve out her own empowered, confident space.
Ikram Bouloum is a multifaceted artist with Moroccan parents who was born in Torelló, Catalonia. She released her first EP, Ha-bb5, in 2021, singing in her mother tongue (a Berber/Amazigh language), Catalan and English. A preview of her album Ineia has been released by So Urgent, the new label of the producer and musician MANS O, who accompanies Ikram at her live performance.
