Putting a whole new spin on the conventional notion of the raid—usually understood as an invasion of a particular digital space, a kind of attack—in this online multi-player game we will discover what emotions we can express and construct in these digital environments.
In this way, Feeling Raid suggests that it is possible to launch “affective raids”, to appropriate violence by creating oases of emotion in places traditionally off-limits to us. And that we can do so on a massive scale, invading those spaces.
These are our weapons. And we want to play with them.
- Clara Harguindey (Madrid, 1993) graduated from Rey Juan Carlos I University (URJC) with a BA in Audiovisual Communications. Since 2015, she has been developing cultural mediation projects based on digital culture and gamification.
- Laura Tabarés (León, 1991) has a BFA from the University of Vigo, an MA in Conceptual and Art Photography from EFTI Madrid, the International Photo and Film School, and an MA in Research in Art and Creation from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). She co-coordinated Espacio PROA from 2015 to 2017.
- Elena Castro Córdoba (Madrid, 1993) has a BA in Philosophy (UCM) and an MA in Gender, Media and Culture (Goldsmiths University, London). She is also a predoctoral lecturer in training at the Complutense University, where she teaches classes while writing her thesis on the intersection of feminism, aesthetics, and contemporary cultural theory.
