Elena Colombi kicks off La Terraza Magnética concerts with an experimental live performance geared towards the sensory and unexpected.
Deviating from the conventional with a multidisciplinary proposal, Colombi's sets are inspired by the profound understanding of different musical cultures, sounds and rhythms gained through their travels and the various creative facets they cultivate. The result is a truly distinctive style and approach.
In recent years they have diversified towards production, using synths to generate intuitive sound works presented in the context of a performance alongside the art collective Tutto Questo Sentire, with Coby Sey and Charlie Hope. Colombi uses their record label Osàre! Editions, a reference to the Italian word for “daring” or “bold”, to support undiscovered artists, looking ahead to the future and with a distinct penchant for experimentation and transcending expectations of time and genre.
Elena Colombi is a resident of NTS and their interest in theory, literature, aesthetics and film inspire their musical selections. Colombi’s training in perfumery enhances their ability to evoke sensory encounters that combine the realms of art, fashion and music. They contribute to the FACT mix series and Crack Magazine, as well as to radio programmes and channels like Beats In Space, Intergalactic FM and Digital Tsunami. Colombi has become a regular feature at international festivals like Dekmantel, Nuits Sonores, ADE, Unsound, Atonal, Field Maneuvers and others.
